On 28th March there was a Portrait Workshop led by club member Jay Warnes.
It was an extremely enjoyable and helpful occasion with Jay proving an entertaining and highly competent tutor. Members were introduced to the equipment used in a studio environment, the importance of health and safety through working with so many electrical appliances, the different types of lights and their uses, how to control light levels and achieve the required apertures and then watching everything being put into practice.
The informal atmosphere proved an excellent way for members to get to know each other better with the result that conversation flowed, questions were asked and answered and a good time was had by all.
Huge thanks to Jay for his easy to understand and patient instruction and let’s hope that we all now start producing those winning portraits.
