For the past couple of months members of the Camera Club have been roaming the town of Sherborne photographing gardens for ‘Sherborne In Bloom’.

The best photos from everyone go into an exhibition at the Cheap Street Church Hall from 21 – 25 July. Here’s the gang setting up the exhibtion:

This has been a tremendous amount of work by everyone but it’s worth it to see the marvellous reception our photos are getting from everyone in the town.

Sherborne In Bloom 2008 Fundraiser

On Wednesday 5 December we joined in the Christmas Fayre fundraiser at Sherborne School in aid of next year’s Sherborne In Bloom.

We had our photos on display and we even sold a few, proceeds from which will go towards expenses for 2008.

Caz and the boys manned the stalls in true Christmas spirit and a good time was had by all.

The event also provided us with some useful publicity and we were photographed for the Western Gazette again.

Let’s hope for better weather for our efforts next year!

Sherborne In Bloom 2008 Fundraiser

Sherborne Area Partnership is planning to hold a Sherborne Town Christmas Fayre to raise money for Sherborne In Bloom 2008. This will be held at the Big School Room, Sherborne School, Abbey Road, Sherborne on Wednesday 5 December 3pm – 5pm.

There will be a bring and buy sale, Christmas cards, jumble, bric-a-brac etc.

We will also be displaying our mounted prints of the photos we took for SIB 2007 which will be for sale.

Please attend this event if you can, to help out and to take photographs (for next year’s portfolio!)
