On Tuesday we welcomed John Tilsley back to our club. John is a highly respected local photographer and judge and we were looking forward to seeing some of his latest work. We were not disappointed! Blandford Forum Camera Club Annual Exhibition

Blandford Forum Camera Club will be holding their 54th Annual Exhibition on May 29th and 30th, 2010.    Closing date for entries is 23rd March 2010. For further information and entry forms go to their website www.bfcclub.co.uk. The four open sections are monochrome print, colour print, transparency and digital projected image.    Plenty of scope, so have a go.

Meeting 9 February – Manufactured Landscapes

In this meeting the Club viewed the film ‘Manufactured Landscapes’, a documentary film about the photographer Edward Burtynsky‘s work in industrial China. Burtynsky travels widely in the developing world, photographing the impact of industry on landscapes and people. The film contained many examples of his large-format colour photographs that provide a stunning visual commentary on the industrialisation of contemporary China.
