Meeting 22 April – Best Of Year Competition

Tonight was our last meeting of the season before our summer break and, as usual, members had the opportunity to submit their best work of the year to compete for one of the club’s magnificent trophies. Each member can enter five colour prints, five black and white prints and five slides. Cups are awarded for each of these three categories

Meeting 8 April – An Evening With Glass Slides with Alec Oxford

Alec Oxford took us back in time on Tuesday evening when he and Nora showed us some of the collection of 32 boxes of glass slides and negatives that had been discovered at Sherborne Museum. Dating from 1890 – 1930 these fascinating remains of a previous age gave us some intimate glimpses of life in Sherborne generations ago. For example,
