Sherborne’s hard work was rewarded at the South West In Bloom presentation event: we won four awards:

• An overall Gold award ‘In the floral campaign to beautify the cities, towns and villages of Southwest England.’
• The South West Tourism Association Cup
• The Gordon Ford Trophy for the best market town
• The City Of Bath Trophy (for landscaping) for the Paddock Garden

Caz, Sally and Val proudly hold the trophies that we will bring home to Sherborne!

After the awards, many people came up to us to congratulate us, including one of the judges who judged Sherborne:

He gave us some very interesting insights into what the judges looked for, but his overall verdict on his visit to the town on 17 July was that we got it ‘about right’ He also said that the judges were very impressed by our photographic exhibition.

Congratulations to all the people in Sherborne who worked so hard to make Sherborne bloom in 2007!
